Family Matters: Estate Planning with MCG’s Experts
The estate planning process helps you go through a logical understanding of all the things you need to consider in coordination with law. And so, working with someone like MCG, we were able to find a lot of different pieces that we needed.
As far as estate planning goes we had, as a couple, prepared wills. We did not have any trusts set up. We knew it was going to be important to have trusts set up so that should anything happen to us, our children wouldn’t be responsible for the tax burden or potentially lose whatever we had. So, working with the team at MCG was comforting particularly with Tracey Spivey.
We started with him prior to his joining the MCG team, so when he came on board with MCG it was even better.
They could represent us both from a business sale aspect to our personal taxes. We have so many entities and I’m sure a lot of people do, but keeping them all straight and what this entity held and what that one didn’t hold and the tax implications. Having that in one area with people communicating with each other rather than having to coordinate multiple entities was amazing and money-saving.
I would not hesitate to do business with them again. We interviewed a lot of different people and have worked with different people, but it has proven that our decision to work with MCG was absolutely the right one.
